noise polluter

music that's worth your while

Electropop has absolutely exploded over the past few years, and some really great things have come out of it. Bands like Passion Pit have broken through into the mainstream, gaining the genre even more popularity, and it seems like every week I hear of a new electropop release. It can get a bit repetitive, but this new track by The Colourist stood out to me. It’s completely infectious in a The Naked And Famous-esque way, and a lot of fun to listen to. It’s busy but not overworked like a lot of electronic music is. The elements of the song are perfectly put together and the track as a whole is very well edited- no unnecessary ambient noise or overcomplicated rhythms, which is refreshing.

I couldn’t find much about the group, but you can download ‘Yes Yes’ for free via Rolling Stone here.
